Bearing friction test bench BAC

The bearing friction test bench also called BAC verifies the friction of a bearing. The bearing, placed in rotation up to a maximum speed of 20,000 rpm, is subjected to axial and radial loads applied individually or simultaneously, a special hydrostatic bearing system then allows to determine the friction that occurs in the bearing. The system can also apply a momentum to the bearing in order to detect the friction in this operating condition. The maximum load is 30 kN for the axial, 30 kN for the radial and 600 Nm for the momentum. The great virtue of the bench is to be able to help manufacturers to improve the energy efficiency of road vehicles.
